Some of My Work

Here are some projects I’ve recently completed.

Oscar Rennebohm Foundation

The foundation’s President contacted me through DANEnet to build a new website for them. Their old site used Webflow, and it was challenging to keep updated. I was excited about this project because Rennebohm’s on the Square is where my parents met, and my mom worked with the previous foundation president for years and years at the bakery. I also collaborated with a content creator, Amy, at Brick Road PR, who did an excellent job curating and writing new content.

Dark Star Art Bar

A new live music venue is in town and it doesn’t use LiveNation or TicketMaster! I happily hopped on this train to build a website that includes a custom integration of Venue Pilot. The site will soon have artwork and merch for sale, too.

DeForest Area Community Center

This client was paying hundreds of dollars per year for hosting on a proprietary CMS and their bill was about to go up. We had a little over a month to get the site rebuilt with WordPress and moved to a different host. The site uses Elementor and functionality provided by s2Member for a locked-down board and governance document section.

Ben Anton - Realtor

Ben and I worked together to completely overhaul his overdue WordPress site from the 2010s. We used a feature-rich theme to kick-start the process and I customized the Rental Search plugin for his properties and needs.

Theater Bus

Theater Bus is a Madison non-profit that was operating their 5+ year-old website via Dreamweaver sync, and paying annual fees to be able to do so.

I worked with the client to select a theme that fits their content and also enabled her to manage the site without technical assistance. The result is a mobile-friendly site with engaging photos and features. The client has since been able to update the site’s color scheme to match their new logo and did so with ease. Bonus: The site is all set for when she wants to add online ticket sales.

Zwingli UCC Mt Vernon

The previous site was on Wix but they couldn’t get ahold of the account owner, so we needed to rebuild from scratch. I worked with the Pastor to create a website that is easy to maintain and boasts a refreshing new look.

Four Lakes Bocce Association

The previous website was dated and difficult for the board members to update. The site needed a facelift and a page builder that made it easier to administer. I worked closely with John to retrofit their content into a template, hook up MailChimp, and integrate a custom scheduling tool. The result is fun, responsive, and a cinch for admins.

Danenet

My friend and ED of DANEnet needed a website, quick! A theme update caused a snafu so they had to resort to a temporary solution while we reconstructed from scratch. She had the structure in mind and the content written, we needed to breathe life into a theme.
