but yesterday was spent, in it’s entirety, knitting. I have very little to comment on because the best thing for me while knitting is Comedy Central’s reruns of SNL and mediocre stand-up comedy. Speaking of stand-up. Jerry Seinfeld is coming to Madtown on my birthday and I really wanted to go. The tickets went on sale on Saturday morning, and when I went to purchase them yesterday evening and all but the $75 9p show was sold out. I’m not interested in spending $75 on something that doesn’t either plug in or light up and give me entertainment for longer than an hour.
1. What was the last song you heard?
probably something by Massive Attack or Led Zeppelin
2. What were the last two movies you saw?
in the theatre? Uhmm.. They and The Ring
3. What were the last three things you purchased?
Cigarettes, orange juice, and a drink, in reverse chronological order.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend?
Knit, get size 1 dpns, relax, and go out to bday dinner with hubby.
5. Who are the last five people you talked to?
Jim, Kurt, Neen, Dave, Bill
Thank goodness that’s over. Just kidding. I am, however, pretty happy about the weekend coming up. Kurt’s bday is this Monday and I’ve taken the day off (paid!!!) to spend with him. We’re going out for dinner at the Tornado Club (as we did for Valentine’s Weekend) and I can’t wait because it was absolutely scrumptious. The extra weekend day also lends itself to more knitting! I finished the bulk of Joe’s hat last night and just need to get my ass to the craft store to get some white yarn for the embroidery. You know photos will arrive shortly.
Before I get too far ahead of myself and have to have a photoshoot: (image tag missing)
It appears that I missed very little in my respite. I imagined that was the case. Thankfully there were no piles of paper or emails to weed through this morning. Luckily for hatless friends, my knitting took off full blast and a standard cap was nearly completed in 2 days. Pictures of the last three knitprojects are soon to come.
Thankfully, my tonsils are not white, my throat is not red, and my lungs are working slightly better today. Though, my eyes would rather squint than do anything else. It’s too bad I’m not fond of tea; everyone is suggesting of it. I still like my coffee. Is that wrong?
it’s almost as if my body is like, “well, now you got sick time! use it!” i am. the couch is all mine.
I have not been sick with anything for over 5 years. This weekend marks the first time I’ve been able to truely call in sick to work. Guess what? I couldn’t call in sick because I have a terribly important meeting to attend from 11 to 1. Guess who’s going home at 1? I have Vitamin C Halls, packets of honey, orange juice and the coffee that will cover up the fact that I’m extremely exhausted.
Everything that I’m presented with so far today has made me question if there really are any intelligent people left. Saturday is a bad day for the grocery store.
1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?

Hug o’ War
I will not play at Tug o’ War
I’d rather play at Hug o’ War,
Where everyone hugs instead of tugs
Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug,
Where everyone kisses and everyone grins
And everyone cuddles and everyone wins.
