topsy turvy

my friend judy came over on friday night to help adjust the deadbolt-receiving holes in both the doors. i want to have the house more secure since no one will be home all day, and especially at night when i get paranoid about sounds. we then crafted a little and talked, but it felt awkward for some reason; maybe cuz i’m not in a good place. i bought her dinner for helping out.

saturday, i got up and dinked around–made my weekly spread for this week and tried to picture what a saturday morning would feel like with just me and the dogs (i’m going to sometimes miss the cats, too).

we went to daisy and got food but i could only eat half the egg sandwich. we went to mounds and woodman’s like a regular day. motivation was low so we didn’t do much around the house. matt had to go to the store to do some training with josh so i played a little fallout, watched something uninteresting, and got tired as soon as matt got home (the story of our lives).

i got up on sunday to get brunch with mom and george at waypoint. then had some errands to run, including getting keys copied which the guy managed to mess up. when i got home, josh needed some help with the website, so i ran to the shop and we talked for a bit.

then the packing began. matt put his corner into boxes and moved a bunch of his things around. we installed curtains on the two big windows, he built the coffee table and tv stand, and we put most of the living room together. it didn’t help the pit in my stomach and i broke down a couple times.
