i’ve often referred to myself as such. i can’t suppress jaw-dropping shock and awe when i hear that someone doesn’t recycle their aluminum cans, or know which #’s of plastic madison recycling accepts. so, when i see people carrying 24 packs of 10oz bottles of water into the building, presumably to keep at their desks for hydration, i cringe at the state of our landfills. please don’t get me started on the styrofoam cups for a bevvie offered with every lunch special.
apparently 65% of plastic bottles go to landfills. i’d like to know if that’s pure aussie power, or worldwide. either way, it’s astonishing, the waste we humans produce. so, i do my part by drinking 32oz of pure nalgene water every day.
