dye lots affect felting. i decided to try the fuzzy feet again, since the last yarn i used said “approximately 100% wool” which meant “approximately won’t felt at all”. so i used the yarn that the pattern called for (lamb’s pride), i had enough leftover from another project for one and a half slippers, and then had to tie on the new skein. well, after about ten minutes of hanging out in front of the kitchen sink, the “new” yarn decides it’s more easily felted.. and the “old” yarn is being a jerk. i think i’ll try the washing machine tonight.. i just hate wasting so much water for a pair of slippers. there’s no setting to choose the size of the load, or which part of the cycle you want to start with.
