i saw a post on facebook by someone who went to the same high school as me. she had her totem animal identified by a woman named emelie at forbidden life.
so, i thought, i should give this a try! sounds like fun, right? i answered a few questions, like, “what are you wearing?”, “what’s your diet like?”, “what’s in the back seat of your car?”
and as soon as i hit send and threw down a little bit of money, i became giddy. i kept checking my email… waiting for the instructions to send pictures. i asked matt to help because emelie needed a head shot and a full body (clothes, please!).
after i sent those on, she replied that she had lurked my flickr feed to get to know me. i felt kinda weird about that, since most of those pictures are more than three years old, but i guess they capture then me.
then, i started getting butterflies… sort of that weird feeling i always get when i watch someone draw. sort of in a fuzzy trance.
then i woke up in the middle of the night, and checked email on my phone and saw her response.
my totem animal is a peacock. no way.
but they’re all big and pretty and powerful and loud!
so.
i’m getting used to the idea.
